Sines Tecnopolo is the newest Portuguese science park. It is formed by two public universities (Universidade do Algarve - www.ualg.pt - and Universidade de Évora - www.uevora.pt), two public tech faculties (Instituto Politecnico de Beja - www.ipbeja.pt - and Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal - www.ips.pt) and a municipality (Câmara Municipal de Sines - Sines' City Council - www.sines.pt).

Goals

The project aims tech transfer, entrepreneurship promotion and advanced training oriented to industry needs. Acting as a science park, his location (southwest coast of Portugal) privileges its strategic position: ocean economy and energy technology.
